Background
Aeromotive is, in reality, a group of four University of Michigan students who are interested in aircraft, cars, and the wind tunnels used to design them both. This project is not a commercial venture, despite the fact that we occasionally write for the fictional company Aeromotive, but the final assignment in the senior Aerospace Engineering Laboratory.
This is a project of our choosing, all academic and shop work has been done by the members of our team, and we are very proud of the results. Please look around the site if you would like to see what we have accomplished.
The goal of this project is to:
- Construct a 1/3 scale model of a Pontiac Grand Prix GTP
- Test the model at several velocities in a wind tunnel
- Vary ride height and spoilers/wings
- Analyze resulting data to determine the best configuration
- Present our findings in a Poster Presentation, Final Report, and Webpage
